Steel Silhouette Target Features

Recommended Angle of Use:
- For 90-degree angles, some splatter may fly towards the shooter.
- A 15-degree angle is ideal for most types of ammo with little splashing.
- A 45-degree angle can bear more powerful ammo, but it will shorten the lifespan of the mental target.
Safety Notices:
- Pistols should be used no closer than 20 yards, and rifles no less than 100 yards.
- Must always wear proper eye and hearing protection when practicing shooting on steel targets.
Very well-made and solid shooting target. The white finish provides nice visibility, and the four holes on each corner provide plenty of mounting options. This steel target weighs 4 lbs 1 oz! The weight requires a very sturdy mount. My t-stake constantly fell over to one side due to the target’s weight – I need to get another one to counterbalance it. These work great with 4″ circular sticky targets, allowing you to track your shots easily.
It’s a solid half inch thick steel target. My video wouldn’t load, so you can’t hear the nice ring it has. I was shooting a .40 at 25 yards. There’s no way that was going to do any damage to this target. I might buy a few to hang side by side.
If you’re looking for some super durable shooting targets, these Kalkal AR500 steel ones are a solid choice. They’re made from 1/2-inch thick steel, which means they can take a beating without getting all banged up. After a few sessions, just slap on a new coat of paint, and they’re good as new.
The bright yellow color is great for visibility¡ªyou’ll have no trouble spotting them even from far away. Plus, that satisfying “ding!” sound when you hit the target makes shooting even more fun.
Weighing these things out, they’re definitely on the heavy side, but that’s what you want for durability. Just make sure to set them up properly with the right stands or hangers, and you’re all set for some serious practice time.
I ordered the 6¡± round target. It is indeed 1/2¡± thick and 6¡± across. I ordered it for plinking with 22 LR subsonics. Not really a challenge for AR500. When the target arrived it had great fit and finish. It still has pretty good finish. Go figure. This is way more durable than I needed. I like the quality of this thing. I’m not sure of the value. If priced as raw material it isn’t a deal. If priced as AR500 that’s been cut, powder coated, and shipped to my door ¨C it’s good value.
Anyways, I’m happy with it. The dimensions are accurate and it is totally functional for my use case.
