I really like this vest! It’s lightweight, has ample pockets for your calls and shells, and the seat is a good, lightweight padding for hunkering down in the brush for the sit. The magnetic catch comes in handy, although I didn’t like that I had to remove the vest to release the seat. The camo is perfect for the spring green out and the long straps (w/ binders, really nice they have these) make it expandable to fit your largest American. I’m 5’10” and 175 lbs. and normally a size M/L, and I have this cinched all the way to the end of the straps to get a tight-ish fit to prevent rattling and rasping. There’s still enough room to layer hoodie/shell underneath comfortably. I’ve been able to test vests from 3 different companies this winter- Alps Outdoorz, Tidewe, and this one. The Tidewe is the best overall although its heaviest, Alps for high exertion/minimal haul, and this one for Run and Gun. It’s lightweight and minimalist comparatively but strikes a great value coming in at under $70 at time of review. I’d give it 4.5 stars if that were an option- I like it, but it could be just a touch easier to operate.
This turkey vest is really nice. The material is very high quality as is the construction. There are pockets for everything from rounds, to snacks, to calls, to a water bottle. There are loops, hooks, and various attachment points for anything you need. There is a pocket for a water bladder as well. There is even a pocket to stash a packable rain jacket or anything else. The cushion attaches by a magnet or by clasps. The straps are comfortable to wear under a full load. There are load lifters to help to shift the weight up on your shoulders and to help the vest adapt to different sized people. This is a solid choice for turkey hunting in any climate by anyone.
This vest had a good feel to it and was easy to put on. It is comfortable to use and has a good mix of pockets on it. The cushion on it works well and is nice to have. It has held up okay so far trying it out. Overall I have been happy with how it has worked.
What an incredible piece of equipment. I love this best. The materials are extremely sturdy, and it’s definitely very well made. It seems like it’ll be extremely durable and last many many hunting trips. I love the pattern of the camo. It’s excellent. The fitment is excellent and it had multiple points of adjustment to make sure it fits just right. The price for this vest is extremely reasonable and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a solid hunting vest.
Soft and quiet material that doesn¡¯t make noise when moving, which is a big deal when you¡¯re trying not to be heard before you¡¯re seen. The camo pattern looks great in person and blends well in the field.
The integrated seat cushion is comfortable and makes longer sits much easier. Not just useful for turkey season either ¡ª works just as well for deer hunting when you want to stay mobile but still have somewhere dry and padded to sit.
Lightweight with lots of compartments to keep calls, gear, and accessories organized without feeling bulky.
