I wear a 10(wide) and ordered a 10 as I assumed the insulation would allow extra room once compressed a bit. I should have ordered an 11, as getting these on and off is a chore. I bought a boot jack specifically for these boots that hold on for dear life when trying to be removed. Comfort is good and value is better than most others at this price point.
I am looking forward to chilly temperatures to test the insulation, but these feel as though they will stay fairly warm for you. Trudging through frigid water will be the big test. If I find premature wear issues during aging, I will certainly update the review to reflect it. As for now, considering price, I highly recommend.
I have some kalkal boots from two hunting season ago. And i’ve had no problem with plenty of work on them.And I needed some new boots for my son.That is starting to hunt with me this year. I need. We need a good quality inflated boot. And this with my first choice. These boots do not disappoint.They fit perfectly and they’re with a great value. Out here in Texas these boots are plenty warm for those sub freezing temperatures. These boots are extremely comfortable.And one of the best features is the installation.
These boots are a total game/changer! Perfect fit, super sturdy, and the insulation keeps my feet warm even in the coldest temps. The neoprene collar and adjustable strap make ’em super comfy, and the waterproofing means I can tromp through mud and wet grass without worrying. Durability… The verdict is still out. They seem like they will hold up for the long haul, and hopefully they will. I feel like these boots are at a good price point value wise.
In Louisiana we don’t get freezing Winters often. But the last two Winters it’s gotten pretty cold surprisingly. Neither one of those Winters that I have proper Footwear. I look very forward to wearing these if we have a cold winter. I could tell the quality just by putting them on for the first time. They were a good fit. Even though these are insulated I will probably wear these when I’m having do certain yard work. They are comfortable. Two notable things I’d like to say about them is the adjustable strap and this easy kickoff stub. That little kickoff thing making the boots off super freaking easy. These are well worth the money.
These boots are well made with high quality materials. They are tight at the ankles and can be cinched up at the calves for a secure fit. The 800 grams of thinsulate make these ideal for very cold weather hunting and the 7mm neoprene make these waterproof and durable. The outsole tread is designed to give superior traction in all terrain, the toes have extra reinforcement to resist tears and abuse, and the extra cushioning soles give comfort for long periods of time. I don’t recommend these for temperatures above 40¨H because your feet will become too warm and uncomfortable. These are comparable to Muck boots but are more affordable. The size runs true, as I usually wear a 10.5 / 11 shoe. They are tight to put on, but once your foot and perhaps an extra sock is used, they are snug as they should be.
